Living the City
The building at Visconde Almeida Garrett, located in Almada’s historic core, had suffered a fire that made it uninhabitable.
It was a building composed of two blocks, one of which was of a more traditional construction and the other of a more recent construction.
In front of the property is a municipal building of modern construction, so the architectural project took into account its specificity.
A building was created in two blocks: one with a traditional trace and the other with a more modern architecture.
The new building created two apartments, one of type T4 with garden and one of type T2 with a terrace.
With this urban renovation operation, a building that was in disrepair is now used to house two families, regenerating the housing and social fabric of the city.
