"A Padaria" Building

We have developed yet another urban regeneration project in Almada, this time involving a former neighbourhood bakery that will be converted into a residential building comprising five flats.
This project, carried out by Meca Construções, is yet another initiative by Metathesis, which combines heritage preservation with contemporary comfort.

As part of this urban regeneration project in Almada, three flats have already been completed and released onto the rental market.

At the same time, two further flats are currently undergoing renovation, with the same meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail that characterise Metathesis’s projects.

These units are scheduled for completion this summer, at which point they will also be added to our rental portfolio.

This project reflects our ongoing commitment to enhancing our urban heritage and creating high-quality housing designed to meet today’s needs without compromising on identity.

Whilst retaining structural elements that tell the story of the space, the project reinterprets the building’s original use with modern and functional solutions, contributing to the revitalisation of the city’s urban fabric. An example of how regeneration can provide quality housing without compromising the identity of the place.
The regeneration project was completed in December 2025.
